Montreal pop singer Chantal Chamandy to perform at the pyramids in Egypt on September 7

Gérard Pullicino to produce show that will air on PBS in March 2008

MONTREAL, Aug. 15 /CNW Telbec/ - A team of Quebeckers will be leaving for
Cairo in the next few days to produce a unique concert that will be presented
on September 7 before the great pyramid of Giza, with permission from the
Egyptian government.
Montreal pop singer Chantal Chamandy, who has Egyptian roots, will be
performing with several other artists, including the Cairo Symphony Orchestra.
The PBS television network has already signed on to broadcast the concert, to
be directed by Gérard Pullicino, who has already produced and directed
performances by Celine Dion, Johnny Hallyday, Joe Cocker and Madonna.
An impressive technical team from Quebec will be participating in this
endeavour, including Guy St-Amour, who was associated with Cirque du Soleil's
Love and was producer of Tohu. Choreographer Geneviève Dorion-Coupal (Unison
by Celine Dion, La Légende de Jimmy, Cirque du Soleil) and lighting designer
Matthieu Larrivée (Simple Plan, Diana Krall, Alanis Morissette) will also be
among those accompanying Chantal Chamandy to Egypt. Journalists are invited to
