TORONTO, July 13 /CNW/ - On Friday, July 20th at 8:00 p.m., hop aboard
the Hogwarts Express, take a stroll down Diagon Alley and enter the magical
world of Harry Potter. Indigo Books & Music is closing down Bay Street
(between Charles St. and Bloor St.) and celebrating Midnight Magic, the
largest Harry Potter street party in Canada.
Indigo Manulife will be open for extended hours to give Potter fans the
unique experience of rejoicing in the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly
Hallows while getting the first available copies in Canada. Pottermaniacs can
enjoy live music, fire juggling, a magic show, entertaining animals and a
variety of Potter-themed activities, including:- The Knight Bus: Step inside the double decker bus where you can have
your face painted, create wands and other crafts and have your palm
read or fortune told.
- The Shrieking Shack: The most haunted house in all of Britain
recreated on Bay Street!
- The Hogwarts Inflatable Slide: At the School of Witchcraft and
Wizardry, there are a hundred and forty-two staircases that keep
moving around - so try and keep up!
- The Hogwarts Bouncy Castle: A wizard school where witches and wizards
can train and bounce in safety.
- The Giant Inflatable Duelling Challenge: Join Professor Lockhart's
club and learn to duel with spells! Duel in an inflatable ring!
- The Quidditch Basketball Challenge: The wizarding national sport!
- Gringotts Money Machine: Enter the wizard bank! Step in and grab as
much Galleon Gold as you can before the time runs out. You may win a
prize!
- Mad Science Potions Class: For wizards only! Make your very own slime!
- Meet Hedwig The Owl: Harry's owl and mail courier.
