Media Advisory - UPS Helps Build Optimal Learning Environments

New stimulating learning materials purchased for all three Moncton Headstart classrooms

MONCTON, NB, Sept. 26, 2012 /CNW/ - As students headed back to school this month, preschool children at Moncton Headstart had a nice surprise as they entered three completely renovated and restocked classrooms courtesy of UPS.

The new materials, equipment and renovation of the three classrooms is part of a US $65,000 grant provided by The UPS Foundation. In June students at Headstart's Community Adult Learning Centre (CALC) also had their classroom renovated as part of the grant.

Teachers and staff are available to provide tours of the updated classrooms and talk about what the new learning materials mean to their students. Karan Wood, Global Business Services Operations Manager of UPS will be available to discuss the grant from The UPS Foundation and the ongoing commitment to giving back to the community.
