Chattopadhyay is joining The Agenda with Steve Paikin, TVO's flagship current affairs program. Piya will fill-in for Steve
Paikin throughout the season, as well as anchor the summer format of The Agenda, allowing for even more of the in-depth analysis that has become its

Now in its fifth season, The Agenda with Steve Paikin focuses on in-depth current affairs analysis, exploring multiple
perspectives through one-on-one interviews and extended debate. It airs
weeknights at 8 pm and 11 pm on TVO and is available as a podcast by 5
am the following day. The Agenda Online and The Agenda on the Road also play an important role in fostering citizen engagement in Ontario.
Beginning in September, Piya will also become the new host of Big Ideas, TVO's popular series of lectures on topics ranging from politics to
culture, economics, art history and science. Big Ideas airs Saturday and Sunday at 5 pm. TVO's most popular podcast, it is
regularly in the top ten podcast downloads in the iTunes Higher
Education category in both Canada and the U.S.
Details on Piya's first appearance on TVO will be announced in the

Piya Chattopadhyay has reported on a wide-range of issues from politics
in the Middle East, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and the Asian tsunami to
health, education, social issues and culture. A seasoned journalist
with over ten years of experience, she has worked for various news
outlets in Canada and abroad. Piya was a Middle East Correspondent for
Fox News Radio and most recently was a fill-in host for CBC radio's The Current, The World at Six, The World This Hour and CBC TV's Breaking News Desk.
