CanadaHelps launches Cause Wish Lists - wish lists for the big hearted
TORONTO, Nov. 3, 2011 /CNW/ - The holidays are a time to enjoy the
company of friends and family, to exchange gifts and to give back to
those who are less fortunate. With the spirit of goodwill in the air,
CanadaHelps has launched Cause Wish Lists, allowing Canadians to create
a shareable wish list of causes that are near and dear to their hearts.
CanadaHelps is Canada's online resource that makes it easy for people
to find all 85,000 Canadian registered charities and to donate securely
The Cause Wish Lists are a CanadaHelps online tool that allows visitors
to search for charities that are meaningful to them by location and
cause. Once the charities are selected, visitors create a Cause Wish
List page specifying in one spot the charities that are close to their
hearts. This page can then be shared with family and friends by email,
Facebook and Twitter who are then able to support those listed
organizations easily and securely through CanadaHelps.
"There are those of us who don't need more stuff and a Cause Wish List
can be an appealing option - instead of asking for more things,
consider asking for donations to a cause that's important to you," says
Owen Charters, president and CEO, CanadaHelps. "The Cause Wish Lists
are also a great learning tool for children who can sort through the
site looking for causes or organizations that are interesting to them.
Together with their families, children can learn the importance of
giving back as they create both a Cause Wish List and a list for

donate in 2011 and beyond.
