Download song and ringtone from TELUS to help end bullying
CALGARY, May 24, 2011 /CNW/ - A new TV commercial launched by TELUS to
thank our customers for helping us to 'give where we live' features an
up-and-coming young Canadian artist. The song, Change the World, was written and recorded by Jessica Allossery, a 21 year-old student
from Chatham-Kent, Ontario. TELUS team members discovered Jessica's
captivating song on YouTube and immediately realized Jessica's song
would be the perfect fit for a new TV spot, which shares our commitment
to our communities and the people within them.
Canadians will not only hear the song in the TELUS We Give Where We Live
TV commercial, they will also get the chance to support a cause close
to Jessica's heart.
Anyone with a TELUS mobile device can download Jessica's inspiring song Change the World in full and as a ringtone for free until June 15, 2011. TELUS will give
$5 for every download* to the Make Children Better Now Children's Foundation, a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to the betterment of
children across Canada. This charity was started by Mike and Brenda

"TELUS does good things and supports good causes all across the
country," said Jessica Allosery. "Actions speak louder than words, and
I wouldn't want someone to use this song just to make themselves look
like a good company. I want them to be a good company like TELUS. If
everyone does a small thing it'll be a big change. When people download
and listen to this song I want them to think more, I want them to stop
and listen to the lyrics and see what they can do to change the world."
Anne-Marie LaBerge, TELUS vice-president Consumer Marketing
Communications, said Jessica Allossery was a natural choice. "We were
thrilled to come across this remarkable Canadian talent. The words in Change the World not only mirror our own culture and philosophy of giving, Jessica
herself is a wonderful example of using one's talent to support a
worthy cause. I encourage all TELUS customers to download Change the World and help make change happen."
