TORONTO, Nov. 17, 2011 /CNW/ - David Sloan, Senior Vice President and
Ombudsman of TD Bank Financial Group, has been selected as the first
Executive-in-Residence of the School of Business at Centennial College.
In this newly created position, Mr. Sloan will have the opportunity to
interact with college business students and faculty, lecture in class
and make high-school visits to speak with students and teachers about
the benefits of studying business at the college level. He will also
develop case studies to be used in the college's business classes and
will participate in international outreach opportunities.

"He will provide us with considerable stature that comes with having a
senior executive from one of Canada's most innovative and successful
banks on our team. He's come to know Centennial as a member of the
college's Board of Governors and is an enthusiastic ambassador for our
David Sloan is currently Vice Chair of Centennial's Board of Governors
and previous Chair of the Audit and Compliance Committee at the
college. His new volunteer position in the School of Business begins
November 17 and is expected to be two years in duration.
Mr. Sloan has held several progressive positions with the TD Bank Financial Group
since 1980. He currently serves as the Senior Vice President and
Ombudsman. Prior to assuming this role, Mr. Sloan served as SVP and
Chief Financial Officer of TD Canada Trust, and prior to that was SVP
and Chief Auditor TD Bank Group.
Mr. Sloan has held directorship positions with the Young Peoples'
Theatre and the National Ballet School of Canada. He possesses a
Masters of Philosophy (Economics) from the University of St. Andrews
and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from McGill University.
