"Slickbook" Puts Hudak on the Defensive over Leadership Failures. Again

TORONTO, May 30, 2011 /CNW/ - Reckless rookie Tim Hudak was again on the defensive today over his party's admission yesterday that it had failed to assemble a plan to govern in its platform document.

Instead, Hudak's decision to cobble together 229 reckless promises in a glossy package - dubbed "slickbook" by Ontario Liberal Campaign Chair Greg Sorbara - that leaves a $10 billion dollar hole in the province's finances, has fallen flat.

Hudak's slick scheme is being criticized from across the spectrum, most notably by the National Post's editorial board:

  • "Ontarians who look beyond the bullet points, and do the actual math, will come away confused and disappointed." (May 30, 2011)

Hudak's day got worse when a PC MPP referred to him by the wrong name. Perhaps inspired by the $10 billion hole in the slickbook donut, Simcoe area MPP Garfield Dunlop referred to his leader as Tim Horton.
