is on community safety. The campaign "Swing Into Summer Safety" kicked
off today with the Toronto Blue Jays.
Recognized today on the field for this new partnership, Trent Ogilvie,
ROXUL's President accepted a plaque from the Council and Toronto Blue
Jays for their recent sponsor partnership. ROXUL is committed to

"It truly is an honour to be recognized by both the Council and
Association. ROXUL is excited to be a part of such a tremendous effort
in fire prevention and education," said Trent Ogilvie, ROXUL President.
"It was just incredible to be on the field at today's Jays game in
front of thousands of supporters and children from all over Ontario.
They were all there to kick-off the Swing Into Summer Safety with the
Toronto Blue Jays."
The Fire Marshal's Public Fire Safety Council in alliance with the
Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs are diligent collaborators in
supporting the grass roots educational efforts of the more than 120,000
men and women representing the Canadian Fire Services. The resulting
campaigns and initiatives help drive fire and safety awareness and
emergency preparedness that can make the difference between life and
death in a crisis situation. Two of the most important messages
firefighters strive to reach out to people with are the importance of
having working smoke alarms throughout the home and preparing and
practicing a home fire escape plan.
"ROXUL is proud to partner with both the Fire Marshal's Public Fire
Safety Council and the Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs. We believe
in their efforts and want to support their initiatives for overall
community safety and fire prevention," said Trent Ogilvie, ROXUL
President. "Too many lives are lost due to preventable house fires.
Through this partnership we hope to build awareness and to educate
community members on fire prevention and the need to have a fire escape
"The Council is happy to have ROXUL as our newest partner to further
enhance fire safety," said Tadeusz (Ted) Wieclawek, Chair, Fire
Marshal's Public Safety Council. "We look forward to cultivating this
partnership as it will be a significant addition to reaching community
residents in Ontario - and our fire safety partners across the
