MONTREAL, Nov. 10, 2011 /CNW Telbec/ - Intelegia will be releasing the results of its benchmark study, "Web 2.0 And Business Attraction - Canadian Cities Online Marketing Index© 2011", via its YouTube Channel, IntelegiaTV (http://www.youtube.com/user/IntelegiaTV ) on November 10th, 2011 at 1 p.m Eastern Time.

The third edition of this study measures how well Canadian cities economic development agencies are branding and marketing their regions to potential investors via the web. Their uses of various Web 2.0 tools were assessed based on the level of engagement with individual and the availability of relevant and current content for site selectors on the agency's website were considered as a part of the ranking process.

"Top agencies have overcome early adopters' hurdles and now they are facing the challenges of aligning economic development goals with social media initiatives.   These leading agencies will need to have coherent strategies that will permit representatives to engage stakeholders through social media and on the ground in their regions." says Isabelle Poirier, President of Intelegia and investment strategist.

The study considered the 20 largest Canadian cities in which Halifax, Edmonton, London, Hamilton, Regina and Ottawa are at the top of the list.
