Polytechnics Canada welcomes NAIT as new member

OTTAWA, April 4 /CNW/ - Polytechnics Canada warmly welcomes Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) to its national membership.

Based in Edmonton, Alberta, NAIT has chosen to join Polytechnics Canada because of its commitment to foster and grow students' innovation and entrepreneurship skills. With the addition of NAIT, Polytechnics Canada now represents ten institutions across the country that deliver high-quality polytechnic education with a full suite of post-secondary credentials, from apprenticeship and diplomas to bachelors' degrees.

"We are delighted that NAIT has chosen to join us," said Polytechnics Canada CEO Nobina Robinson. "NAIT's recognized leadership in applied research, apprenticeship training and entrepreneurship will greatly strengthen our association's ability to promote the value of polytechnic education. Such a polytechnic education enhances the technological and entrepreneurial skills urgently needed to boost Canadian innovation and productivity."

Known for real-world education and student success, NAIT has almost 80,000 registrations worldwide in business, advanced technologies and skilled trades.
