TORONTO, Sept. 14, 2011 /CNW/ - Ajax resident Naguleswaran Kandiah and his wife Rany Naguleswaran are on cloud 6/49 after discovering they had a winning ticket for $7.2 million from the September 7, 2011 LOTTO 6/49 draw.
"It's just unbelievable. Even after a couple of days, we're still
processing this and are a little bit in shock," smiled Kandiah, who
arrived at the OLG Toronto Prize Centre with his wife and two of his
children to claim he and his wife's prize.
"We were at home together, when I read the numbers in the paper and
realized I had a match for all six. My wife started to cry, and we
called our kids right away to share our happiness with them," he
The tight-knit family only recently moved to Ajax from Scarborough, so
Kandiah says that they are happy in their new home and haven't even
thought about what they are going to use the money for.
"My son just got a new 'used' car, but I would like to get each of my
two daughters a car as we all share one now," Kandiah explained. "We
just came back from visiting family in Australia, but I'm sure we'll be
planning a trip somewhere else now. My wife really wants to visit India
to see some temples."
Kandiah says that although two of his children have finished
post-secondary school, there is now the opportunity for further

worry about supporting them," Kandiah said excitedly.
The winning ticket was purchased at Petro Canada on Ninth Line and 16th Ave in Unionville.
