Foods manufacturing facility in Mehsana hosted senior Canadian
government officials who were on a recent trade mission to India to
strengthen and advance bilateral trade between the two countries.
Honourable Ed Fast, Minister of International Trade and Minister for the
Asia-Pacific Gateway and his delegation chose to visit McCain Foods,
one of several Canadian companies with operations in Gujarat.
During his tour of the facility, the Minister emphasized the importance
of finalizing a trade agreement with India by 2013 which has the
potential to boost Canada's economy, deepen two-way trade ties between
Canada and India, and create jobs and opportunities for Canadian
businesses and their workers.
