Premier McGuinty Highlights Ontario Liberal Plan To Help Families
TORONTO, Sept. 26, 2011 /CNW/ - Premier Dalton McGuinty spoke to women
about the Ontario Liberal plan "Forward. Together." at a lunch event
hosted by Catalyst Canada.
"We know that women are the heart of strong families, strong communities
and a strong economy, and they are certainly the heart of our Ontario
Liberal family," said McGuinty. "We're stronger because of the voices,
values and progressive ideas they bring to the table."
In the McGuinty Liberal cabinet, women are responsible for almost 80 per
cent of the provincial budget. The perspectives and leadership of
Ontario Liberal women are delivering positive, progressive results like
full-day kindergarten, increased breast-cancer screenings for women at
risk, and the Ontario Child Benefit.
"There is a lot at stake in this election," said McGuinty. "It's about
choosing a vision for the future of our province. Only the Ontario
Liberals have a plan and a team that best represents the priorities of
McGuinty was joined by women candidates from the Ontario Liberal Party
