Large Geophysical Anomaly Discovered at Black Gold Property Anomaly Located Below High Grade Surface Gold Zone

Trading Symbol RCR: TSXV

TORONTO, April 5 /CNW/ - Rockcliff Resources Inc. (RCR: TSXV) is pleased to announce that it has completed a magnetometer and induced polarization (IP) geophysical program at its Black Gold Property located 30 km NW of Kirkland Lake, Ontario.

The survey discovered a significant IP anomaly with strike and depth potential starting at surface.  The anomaly measures +600m long by approximately +100m deep (depth extent of survey) and is located immediately below a 60m long by 10m wide surface gold zone (WK Gold Zone).  The WK Gold Zone hosts gold values ranging from 0.60g/t gold up to 51.0g/t gold (see Table 1 below).

The initial target at Black Gold is the open pit gold potential of the WK Gold Zone and the corresponding IP anomaly.

Table 1 results were reported and released on October 27, 2010.  Thirty-two (32) surface grab samples were taken on the WK Gold Zone.  The zone consists of pervasive quartz veining and a strongly altered host rock associated with auriferous disseminated pyrite.  Assay results are of the WK Zone are reported below.

The WK Gold Zone is associated with an altered, auriferous, pyritized, quartz stockwork system containing visible gold and hosted within an altered, auriferous, pyritized, sheared mafic volcanic host rock.  Both the quartz stockwork system and the host mafic volcanic rock carry significant gold values and are associated with a significant IP anomaly with length and depth potential.

Additional exploration at Black Gold will occur once winter breakup has been completed.
