Knightsbridge establishes Executive Search practice in Alberta to Help Clients Respond to Emerging Talent Crisis

CALGARY, June 6, 2011 /CNW/ - It is clear that the recent economic recession has not reduced Alberta's emerging labour crisis. Recent media reports indicate that Alberta is facing a serious labour shortfall of more than 77,000 workers over the next 10 years. The combination of a rapidly recovering Alberta economy and a large number of skilled workers retiring, will significantly impact all business in the province. That is why Knightsbridge has invested in bringing together a team of Alberta's leading human capital and executive search professionals. Biographies:

Mark Hopkins joins Amrop Knightsbridge as Managing Partner of the Calgary Executive Search practice. Mark has extensive executive search and human capital consulting experience. He spent almost ten years with Conroy Ross Partners, one of Calgary's largest executive search firms where as Partner he led a successful practice focused on the Oil & Gas, Construction, and NFP sectors. Prior to Conroy Ross, Mark worked for both Right Management and Towers Perrin, after holding senior HR positions at Home Oil Company Ltd.  Mark is a graduate of the University of Alberta, and the Management Development Program at the University of Western Ontario.

Simon Vincent joins Amrop Knightsbridge as Partner. Simon will be responsible for leveraging his extensive executive experience and relationships across a variety of functional areas and sectors to generate and deliver new search assignments.

Simon is an accomplished executive with 30 years of experience in Marketing, Sales, Operations, Total Quality Management and Human Resources, in the telecommunications, electronics, international consulting, not for profit (NFP) and energy sectors. Simon had a distinguished career with TELUS Corporation for close to 20 years, across a variety of executive positions and functions, including his role as Senior Vice President, Business Marketing. He is active in the Calgary community, including being the 2010 Chair of the Calgary Chamber of Commerce and a Board Director for Innovate Calgary. He is a graduate of Queens University and the University of Calgary.

Denise Gilroy joins Amrop Knightsbridge as Partner.  Denise will focus on finance and corporate services functional roles leveraging her extensive finance and professional services experience.

Denise has 16 years of professional services and executive search experience. She was formerly the Assurance, Western Canada Business Development Leader with Ernst & Young where she developed an extensive relationship base with the directors and senior executives within the Oil and Gas, Power and Utilities, Professional Services and Transportation sectors. Prior to Ernst & Young Denise held leadership roles with Deloitte, Xerox and Korn Ferry International.  Denise is a graduate of McMaster University.

Catherine LeBlanc joins Amrop Knightsbridge as Principal. Catherine will be responsible for leveraging her extensive executive search experience and relationships within the Oil & Gas, Financial, and Professional Services.

Catherine brings over 15 years of experience as an Executive Search professional with both Conroy Ross Partners where she was Principal, and PriceWaterhouseCoopers.  She has successfully recruited many roles at the executive, senior management, and senior technical levels, and has built a number of technical and leadership teams for clients in Technology, and all sectors of the Oil and Gas industry.
