MONTRÉAL, June 22, 2011 /CNW/ - Kia Motors, a maker of quality vehicles
for the young-at-heart, revealed today that the partnership with the
Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec and the Grand Prix Cycliste de Montréal
was renewed for a second year. Along with the cyclists, Kia Canada Inc.
will be taking over the streets of Quebec City and Montreal by
providing over 80 vehicles that will take an active role in the race to
support this upcoming, world class event.

As an Official Automotive Partner of the 2011 UCI WorldTour events of
Québec and Montréal, Kia is supplying official vehicles from its
wide-ranging model line-up to all 18 ProTeams and four UCI Pro
Continental Teams invited to the event. Kia's implication will also
assist with event logistics, media, and VIP transportation. The Kia
fleet is comprised of 82 vehicles that include a selection from its
model line-up including; the Forte sedan, Soul urban crossover vehicle,
Rondo urban utility vehicle and Sedona minivan.
For 2011, there are 27 road races bearing the official UCI WorldTour
label. Teams that have been awarded the ProTeam label are required to
compete in each event. There are two in North America: the Grand Prix
Cycliste de Québec and the Grand Prix Cycliste de Montréal. These two
events on the UCI WorldTour Circuit bring the world's cycling elite
along with their support staff to Quebec City on September 9, 2011 and
Montreal on September 11, 2011 - more than 400 people in all. This stop
on the WorldTour Circuit in Quebec City and Montreal will contribute to
promoting the globalization of road cycling.
