MISSISSAUGA, ON, June 1, 2011 /CNW/ - Kia Canada Inc. recorded its best
ever month in May with 6,928 new vehicles sold, translating into a
solid 20.9% growth compared to May 2010. Kia Canada continues to lead
the market in 2011 with the largest percentage increase of 26%
year-to-date, with 26,018 units sold, when measuring top ten volume
manufacturers in Canada including outpacing industry results. All four
Kia regions continue to experience strong success with five straight
months of sales increases. These tremendous sales results have also
contributed to an industry-leading sales streak of 29 consecutive
months of growth.

offers our customers a safe, stylish, environmentally friendly line-up
meeting their product needs and exceeding their purchase experience all

The Kia Forte line-up including the sedan, 5-Door and Koup was the
volume leader and broke a new record in May with 1,751 vehicles
reported, effectively yielding a 36.9% increase from last year. The Kia
Soul, our Urban Utility Vehicle, yielded its best month ever with 1,444
units or a 47.8% increase versus previous year. The Georgia-built 2011
Kia Sorento Compact Utility Vehicle (CUV) continues to provide
significant volume with 1,150 vehicles reported nationally,
representing a 20.2% increase compared to May 2010. Additionally, the
new Sportage has established a new high with 767 units sold, netting an
impressive 104.5% growth.
