TORONTO, Feb. 17, 2011 /CNW/ -- Spin Master wowed at this week's American International Toy Fair in New York, showing off some of the most innovative and fun toys for 2011. As a testament to this Popular Science, the authority on technology and innovation named both Redakai and Air Hogs Hyperactives to their list of 12 of this year's best toys.
With Redakai, Spin Master is introducing the world's first ever 3D trading card game, using incredible stereoscopic lenticular technology to bring both 3D and animation to the playing cards. Redakai also brings a groundbreaking card stacking innovation to the gameplay that will literally change the way kids battle with trading card games. The property will also include an animated TV series coming to Cartoon Network later in 2011.
The Air Hogs Hyperactives are high-performance radio-controlled cars that can reach speeds of up to 600mph scale speed, or up to 22mph in real life. Featuring an impressive 2.4GH frequency, the Hyperactives have a range of approximately 150 feet indoor and outdoor, with the ability for an unlimited number of Hyperactives to race simultaneously. Including a special self-righting plastic ring, the Hyperactives will always land upright on their wheels, no matter how far or how rough the ride.
"Redakai and the Air Hogs Hyperactives are two of the most groundbreaking new toys that kids will get to enjoy this year," says Harold Chizick, VP of Communications for Spin Master. "We've packed an incredible amount of innovation, technology and fun into these two toys. Kids are going to freak out when these are both launched this fall."
Both Redakai and the Air Hogs Hyperactives will hit store shelves in late summer.
