OTTAWA, Feb. 3 /CNW/ - Today's announcement by the Honourable Chuck
Strahl, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities,
revealing new measures to enhance passenger convenience and aviation
security is welcomed by the National Airlines Council of Canada as part
of an ongoing review of our country's aviation security framework.
"Improving the overall passenger experience while maintaining the
highest level of security is a priority for air carriers and we commend
the federal government's commitment in this regard," said George
Petsikas, President of the NACC. "We look forward to continuing a
meaningful dialogue with the government to address critical aviation
security issues in an efficient and consequential manner."
The National Airlines Council of Canada is a trade association founded
