GO Transit will run special late-night trips after UFC event

TORONTO, April 20, 2011 /CNW/ - Following the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fight on Saturday, April 30, GO Transit will run one extra late-night trip in either direction from Union Station along the Lakeshore corridor. The two extra trains will depart about 30 minutes after the completion of the event to give attendees enough time to get from the event to their train.

Ontario's first-ever match will take place at the Rogers Centre on Saturday, April 30. The event is expected to end after the last regularly scheduled GO Trains depart Union Station.

To accommodate passengers, GO will run two special late-night trains departing approximately 30 minutes after the fight:

    <<
    - A westbound Lakeshore West train making all stops to Aldershot GO
Station with a bus connection to Hamilton GO Centre
    - An eastbound Lakeshore East train making all stops to Oshawa GO
Station with a bus connection to Bowmanville and Newcastle
    >>

In addition to the special late-night trips, two westbound trains leaving Oshawa at 11:41 a.m. and 1:41 p.m. on Saturday will continue onto Exhibition station for those attending the UFC Fan Expo at the Direct Energy Centre.
