GEOTrac Attributes Growth to High Customer Satisfaction Levels

Despite Global Recession, GEOTrac Receives National Recognition for Revenue Growth

CALGARY, June 15, 2011 /CNW/ - GEOTrac System Inc., a Calgary-based, wireless fleet management provider, announced today, that despite the global economic recession, the company has reported a 1,294 percent increase in revenue during the past five years. The company has had to triple the number of employees just to keep pace with this incredible growth.

In the 23rd annual PROFIT 200 ranking of Canada's Fastest-Growing Companies by PROFIT Magazine, GEOTrac was ranked 38 in a long list of distinguished companies.

"We knew that if we remain committed to our customers' satisfaction and grew our team responsibly, we would weather the economic storm that has raged within our industry during the past several years," says Tim Hodge, CEO for GEOTrac. "Unlike many of our competitors that needed to downsize, GEOTrac actually grew significantly."

Mr. Hodge went on to say that GEOTrac's success is largely attributed to staying core to their business of fleet management and lone worker safety solutions to the oil and gas industry. While many companies within the space try to be all things to all people, GEOTrac remains committed to oil and gas.

"A watered down offering to multiple verticals doesn't help anyone," says Hodge. "Our growth comes from drilling deeper into the oil and gas industry and expanding our geography."

GEOTrac has been a partner with the oil and gas industry since 2003. While the industry leads the world in drilling and exploration technologies, it was lagging in the remote worker safety and fleet optimization.  GEOTrac began detailing private oil and gas lease roads throughout the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin (WCSB). As new roads were constructed by large oil and gas producers, GEOTrac placed data loggers on these vehicles to capture GPS coordinates. These coordinates were used to build the most comprehensive oil and gas road maps in the industry.

Today, as the largest fleet management provider for the Canadian oil and gas industry, GEOTrac feeds GPS coordinates from thousands of vehicles every day. Every time a customer logs into our web-based application, they get the latest map detail as provided by current activity in the field.

"What makes GEOTrac truly unique is the unrivalled detail of the private lease roads," says Hodge.

Another huge driver for GEOTrac's success is the reliability of its Lifeline Services for remote workers in the field. Mandated by law to provide lone worker protection in the field, oil and gas producers are asking their service companies to comply to very strict safety policies that include services like GEOTrac.

"GEOTrac has several tiers of safety solutions that are critical to lone worker safety," says Hodge. "We protect workers using a personal safety monitor, an out-of-truck timer solution, one-touch distress button or active monitoring using geofences."

GEOTrac has partnered with a world-class monitoring call centre providing 24 hours/day coverage, 365 days of the year. Customers can link existing emergency response plans (ERP) to GEOTrac's services for a dependable end-to-end solution.

While many economic analysts are predicting a second wave of the recessionary tsunami to hit global shores later this year, GEOTrac has a proven track record that it can baton down the hatches, keep the wind at our backs and stay on course.

Tim Hodge, CEO of GEOTrac Systems Inc. will be in Toronto on Wednesday, June 15th in front of an audience of business leaders and national media to accept an award recognizing the company for this latest achievement. GEOTrac is honored to accept this award. We believe that customer satisfaction is a true gauge of our success and remain committed to customer satisfaction.
