Gabriel Bouchard steps down as President of Workopolis

TORONTO, May 26, 2011 /CNW Telbec/ - Tomer Strolight, Chairman of the Board of Workopolis, today announced that Gabriel Bouchard is stepping down as President of the company.

"Leading Workopolis has been a very exciting challenge and a privilege," said Mr. Bouchard. "Today I'm stepping down as President of the company after discussions with the Board, having made a family-based decision to return to Montreal. Working with the Workopolis' team has been extremely fulfilling, and I want to thank all my colleagues for contributing their talent, commitment and support during my years here."

For his part, Mr. Strolight stated: "On behalf of all the members of the Board of Directors, I want to thank Mr. Bouchard for his contribution. Over the past three years, Workopolis has furthered its leadership position in the online recruiting industry in Canada. As a pioneer in the area of online recruiting, Mr. Bouchard made use of his extensive knowledge and his vision to help position Workopolis for substantial growth in the future. I thank him for his achievements and wish him the very best."

A new President will be appointed shortly.

Gabriel Bouchard joined the Workopolis team in July 2008 as Vice-President, Strategic Planning, and was appointed President in early 2009. Before joining Workopolis he founded Monster.ca, where he served as Vice-President and General Manager for 13 years. Earlier he was General Manager and Vice-President of Marketing at the recruitment advertising agency TMP Worldwide and Division Chief for Advertising and Promotion at Radio-Québec. He also worked with BCP Strategy Creativity Inc. as General Manager of several divisions.
