From July 10 to 17, Montréal will become the centre of the BRP universe

MONTREAL, June 14, 2011 /CNW Telbec/ - Tourisme Montréal is proud to announce that BRP has chosen Montréal as host city of its most important meeting in company history. Some 4,000 guests, from more than 100 countries across five continents, will be meeting in Montréal for this prestigious event, which will allow the Québec multinational to share the keys to its success with guests, business partners, and many international media representatives.

"It is an enormous privilege to have BRP choose Montréal for this prestigious event, which will receive coverage around the globe," says the Honorable Charles Lapointe, President and CEO of Tourisme Montréal. "Our city and our residents look forward to taking advantage of this unique opportunity to share Montréal's signature style with our distinguished guests. Montréal's inimitable savoir-faire, hospitality and joie de vivre make it one of the most sought-out meeting destinations of the international business community," adds Charles Lapointe.

Two groups of 2,000 people will be welcomed during this eight-day gathering, and will meet at the Palais des congrès de Montréal, where the latest models of the different brands of this Québec flagship company, along with numerous technological innovations (prototypes, concept vehicles and others), will be showcased to the public for the first time ever. Over the course of their stay, participants will also be invited to test out the BRP products in Parc René-Lévesque in the borough of Lachine, where a test and demonstration area will be set up. In another first, BRP will open all of these activities to the general public on July 16 and 17.

Economic spin-offs in the vicinity of $13.3M are expected to be generated from the event, which will include entertainment on Crescent Street from July 12 to 16, as well as a private concert at the Bell Centre on July 13 for all guests, including BRP employees and their spouses from the Sherbrooke, Valcourt and Île-des-Sœurs locations, for a total of nearly 10,000 people.
