hamlet of Lake Louise are celebrating the culinary triumphs of their
local restaurants with a new ten-day festival that offers visitors and

Coming hot on the heels of TripAdvisor's Travellers' Choice Awards which
saw Banff emerge as one of Canada's top ten food & wine destinations,
Bon Appétit Banff offers patrons the opportunity to enjoy unique
three-course menus at a prix-fixe of either $25 or $35 at any of
eighteen participating restaurants November 17- 27, 2011.
"Bon Appétit Banff is a new way for visitors to enjoy a selection of
fine dining opportunities at unprecedented value in one of the world's
most scenic and beloved settings," said Stu Back, director of In-Resort
Services at Banff Lake Louise Tourism. "The festival is also a way for
us to honour the dedicated restaurants that have helped secure Banff's
status as a top culinary destination in Canada."
As the birthplace of Canadian Rocky Mountain cuisine, both Banff and
Lake Louise have long celebrated the diversity and creativity of their
culinary communities. The immensely popular Rocky Mountain Wine and
Food Festival offers a weekend of food and wine tastings to the delight
of thousands of enthusiastic "foodies" who descend on the destination
every spring. The fifth annual Rocky Mountain Wine & Food Festival is
scheduled to take place May 4-5, 2012.
The introduction of this new culinary festival to Banff and Lake Louise,
long known as the adventure capitals of Canada's first national park,
confirms their positions as unique gourmet communities, eager to
celebrate more than just the breathtaking mountain scenery and
authentic cultural diversity for which they are famous.
