Law firm encourages Métis and First Nations youth to showcase their
EDMONTON, April 4 /CNW/ - Field Law, a regional law firm with offices in
Edmonton and Calgary, Alberta as well as Yellowknife, Northwest
Territories, is pleased to announce the opening of our Métis and First
Nations Youth Art Competition.
In support of the United Nations Year of Youth and the Alberta and Northwest Territories Métis and First Nations
communities, the competition was created by Field Law's Indian
Residential School Claims Group who work together to compensate
individuals who suffered sexual abuse, serious physical abuse or
serious psychological harm while attending a residential school.
Métis and First Nations students ages 12-18 residing in Alberta or the
Northwest Territories are encouraged to submit a piece of art between
April 4, 2011 - August 31, 2011. The Grand Prize is $500 cash with the
winning art published in one of Field Law's 2011 holiday cards, second
place is $250 cash and third place is $100.
