TORONTO, Feb. 10 /CNW/ - The management of Fidelity Capital Funding
Canada Limited, general partner for Fidelity Partnership 1996 (FZP.UN:
Toronto), confirmed today that the Fidelity Partnership 1996 ("FP96")
will be wound up as planned on or before December 31, 2011. The final
distribution will be paid in January 2012.
Based on current market values and the historical redemption levels of
distributed units experienced by the partnership, management would
expect that the final distribution to unitholders would be in the range
of $0.28 - $0.32 per unit. Management is unaware of any additional
information that supports the significant premium that the units are
currently trading at above the estimated final distribution.
As of January 1, 2011, the estimated distribution now includes the
impact of income tax payments that FP96 became subject to as a result
of it being designated as an Specified Investment Flow-through (SIFT
partnership) under the Income Tax Act (Canada).
For further information, please see FP96's most recently filed financial
statements and annual information form which are available on the
website of SEDAR at www.sedar.com.
