LÉVIS, QC, May 17 /CNW Telbec/ - The Fédération des caisses Desjardins
du Québec, the Manager of the Desjardins family of mutual funds,
announced the results of the Desjardins Global Equity Fund's unitholder
meeting held May, 17, 2011.
Unitholders of the Fund approved the previously announced proposal to
change the Fund's investment objective which will be as follows:
- The objective of the Fund is to achieve income, notably in the form of
dividends, as well as long-term capital appreciation by investing
primarily in equity and equity-related securities of companies located
anywhere in the world, including, when deemed appropriate, emerging
Pursuant to this change of investment objective, the Fund will change
its name to Desjardins Global Dividend Fund.
It is expected that the change of investment objective along with the
change of name will be implemented on May 18, 2011.
The Manager however reserves the right to reschedule implementation of
these changes to a later date, or not to proceed with such changes.
