Deloitte is among the first implementer of Oracle DOO at early adopter
NEW YORK, Feb. 14, 2011 /CNW/ -- Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited announced today that its member firms are continuing their significant investments in training and development related to Oracle's Fusion Distributed Order Orchestration (DOO) applications. Deloitte's Oracle practices globally have quickly become leaders in Oracle Fusion Distributed Order Orchestration and are the first to implement Distributed Order Orchestration applications at an Oracle beta client as part of Oracle's Early Adopter Customer Program.
Deloitte Oracle practices have assembled an international team of practitioners from the U.K., the Netherlands, Singapore, Canada, Mexico, Spain, Argentina, the U.S. and India to develop DOO-specific tools. This international Distributed Order Orchestration team is currently collaborating with Oracle to develop a detailed Oracle ROI assessment tool that assists companies in indentifying and quantifying the potential business value from deploying Distributed Order Orchestration applications. In addition to this tool, the team has built a suite of value-related models based on Deloitte's proprietary Oracle methodologies for Oracle's Fusion applications, including Oracle Fusion Applications Manufacturing Industry Print(TM), Oracle Fusion Applications DEAL Model(TM), and Oracle Fusion Applications Enterprise Value Map (EVM)(TM).
"Deloitte is focused globally on Oracle's Fusion Distributed Order Orchestration applications because we believe they offer tremendous potential for helping companies to resolve a nearly universal, real-world business challenge: managing orders received through multiple sales channels and delivering products reliably and on time," said Nidal Haddad, Global Oracle Leader, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited. "This is a natural extension of our member firms' 'business-led, technology-enabled' approach, where the value of any IT investment must be measured against real business returns."
"We are pleased with the contributions Deloitte has made to Oracle Fusion Distributed Order Orchestration and it is among the leading providers of services related to this burgeoning area of supply chain technology," said Aaron Shidler, vice president, Oracle Fusion Applications Strategy. "Deloitte has begun our first early adopter implementations of Oracle Fusion Distributed Order Orchestration, and the network's Oracle practices globally have demonstrated their commitment to assisting clients in realizing business value from Oracle Fusion Distributed Order Orchestration applications. Notably, Deloitte has done this on an international level, investing in training and collaborating with Oracle's development teams."
Since its inception, Deloitte has participated in Oracle's Fusion Ramp-Up Partner Program, which enables systems integrators to prepare for Oracle Fusion Applications by participating in validation, testing and training activities. Deloitte was recognized as a Laureate in the Computerworld Honors Program for a client case study on the "Roadmap to Oracle Fusion Applications Delivery."
