Only Ontario Liberals Offer Strong, Steady Leadership In Perilous
CAMBRIDGE, ON, Sept. 29, 2011 /CNW/ - Premier Dalton McGuinty visited
Cambridge today to speak about Ontario Liberal support for Ontario's
entertainment and creative industry.
"Ontario families faced many challenges during the last recession,"
McGuinty said. "That's why Ontario Liberals moved quickly to support
jobs. A key part of our economy is Ontario's film and television
industry — Ontario Liberals have supported them by delivering $290
million in film and television-based tax credits. We will make this
support permanent to keep our economy strong."
Since 2003, under Ontario Liberals, the creative industry has grown by
39,000 jobs. Only Ontario Liberals are acting to create jobs and
"There is a lot at stake in this election," McGuinty said. "It's about
choosing a vision for the future of our province. Only Ontario
Liberals will meet the global economic challenge by creating jobs and
The Hudak PCs have $14 billion in unfunded giveaways and tax cuts that
would mean deep cuts to support for Ontario's entertainment and
creative industries — and a Hudak/Harper partnership would mean double
the cuts, taking Ontario off track in perilous economic times. The
Horwath NDP would take Ontario off track by introducing a crushing $9
billion in job-killing taxes.
"Only Ontario Liberals have the experience and the leadership to keep
Ontario on track in perilous times in the global economy," McGuinty
said. "And only Ontario Liberals can be counted on to keep what we've
built together intact — our thriving cultural sector, strong schools,
hospitals and our services — while moving Ontario forward. Together."
