Premier Meets With Oakville Firefighters
OAKVILLE, ON, Sept. 11, 2011 /CNW/ - Premier Dalton McGuinty met today
with firefighters of the Oakville Fire Department and thanked them —
and all first responders — for their hard work and dedication to their
professions and communities.
"On the 10th anniversary of the September 11th attacks, it is important that we not only recognize the difference
first responders make, but celebrate it," said McGuinty. "Whether it's
responding to a call or volunteering in our communities, they make a
real difference in our lives."
McGuinty made the comments while sharing a pancake breakfast with the
firefighters of Oakville Fire's Station 1.
"Our police, our paramedics, our firefighters have all been there for
us," said McGuinty. "Ontario will continue to be there for them."
