TORONTO, Sept. 12, 2011 /CNW/ - Cameron's Brewing Company was a big
winner at the 2011 Canadian Brewing Awards held this past Friday,
September 9th in Toronto, honouring the best brews in 31 different
categories from 20 competitors across the country.
Cameron's victory with a Silver Medal for their first ever Oak-Aged
Release in the Wood and Barrel-Aged Beer category add to their two wins
in 2010 at the same award ceremony, and to their over 45 total awards
over the 14 years they've been brewing their outstanding all-natural
Ales & Lagers.
For Bill Coleman, president of Cameron's Brewing Company, Friday's
victory dovetails perfectly alongside the numerous other awards and
accolades the brewery had garnered since he began leading nearly one
year ago, and comes as no surprise. "Our Oak-Aged was a phenomenal
success, selling out its first run completely in less than a week. This
award stands as a testament to the successful innovation that we've
started at Cameron's."
"We're experiencing a phenomenal year", continued Coleman. "From
victorious bids to be the newest microbrewery of choice at both
Flamboro and Georgian Downs, two Ontario Brewing Awards earlier this
year and sales results outpacing the already great growth of the craft
brewery market, I couldn't be happier about this latest accolade."
The Canadian Brewing Awards are Canada's only national competition that
invites breweries of all sizes from across the country to compete in a
blind tasting to see who brews the best beer. A Canadian Brewing Award
medal is a widely recognized symbol of brewing excellence in Canada. A
panel of approximately 20 Certified Beer Judges consider five criteria:
aroma, appearance, flavour, mouth-feel, and overall impression.
Cameron's Brewing Company is a true craft brewery, passionately brewing
all natural ales and lagers since 1997 in Oakville, Ontario, Canada.
Cameron's is currently available at The Beer Store, select LCBO
locations and on tap at numerous bars and restaurants such as Earl's,
Il Fornello, the Royal Canadian Yacht Club and more. For more
