VANCOUVER, Feb. 23 /CNW/ - Union Gospel Mission has received pledges and
cash donations totalling $22.86 Million toward the construction of a
new facility at 601 E. Hastings, opening April 2011, that will
significantly increase services and help even more people get off the
street permanently. Leading gifts include:
Corporate Support: $1.5 million given including gifts from the
mining/resource sector ($475,000) led by Amir Adnani with the support
of Pathfinder Asset Management Ltd, building sub-trades ($195,000), BMO
Financial Group ($150,000), Eagle West Cranes Inc. ($200,000), CIBC
($75,000), Connor, Clark and Lunn Foundation ($50,000), The HYDRECS
Fund ($30,000), and The KPMG Foundation ($10,000).
Individual Support: $5.05 million including leadership gifts from Maxwell and Gaylene
Munday, The Wade Family, and Chip and Shannon Wilson.
