Talisman Energy Inc. is an independent upstream oil and gas company headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Talisman has operations in Canada and its subsidiaries operate in the UK, Norway, Southeast Asia, North Africa and the United States. Talisman’s subsidiaries are also active in a number of other international areas. Established as an independent company in 1992, Talisman has grown production from 50,000 boe/d in 1992 to over 452,000 boe/d in 2007. The company has a goal of 5-10% annual production growth, which it expects to achieve from existing and planned projects through the medium term.
