Media Advisory - Alberta Launch of the Mental Health Strategy for Canada
CALGARY, June 11, 2012 /CNW/ - Media are invited to attend the Alberta launch of the Mental Health Commission of Canada's (MHCC) Changing Directions, Changing Lives: The Mental Health Strategy for Canada.
Changing Directions, Changing Lives is the first-ever national strategy to improve mental health for all Canadians. The Strategy, which follows several years of unprecedented consultation with thousands of Canadians, is a blueprint to promote mental health, prevent mental illness, and ensure that services and supports are there for people who need them.
Participating in the Alberta launch will be His Honour, Colonel (Ret'd) the Honourable Donald S. Ethell, Lieutenant Governor of Alberta; the Honourable Fred Horne, Minister of Alberta Health and Wellness; Commission Chair, David Goldbloom, MD; and, Louise Bradley, MHCC President and CEO.
