Telefilm Canada invites you to the fifth annual Guichet d'or award ceremony, which honours the Canadian writer and director of the home-grown French-language feature film that generated the highest box office in 2011. The Guichet d'or award comes with a $20,000 cash prize for the winning director and a $20,000 cash prize to be shared by the winning writers.

The winning film for 2011: Starbuck.

Starbuck's amazing career continues! DreamWorks recently acquired the rights to the film and plans a Hollywood remake that will be produced by André Rouleau and directed by Ken Scott.
