New single from Frank D'Angelo races through top 30, heads towards top 20 in U.S.

TORONTO, April 24, 2012 /CNW/ - After Frank D'Angelo's new R&B single 'You're The One' hit the top 40 U.S. adult contemporary music chart in its debut week, it raced through the ranks of the top 30s and now is headed up the chart to the top 20 five weeks later. Shattering all expectations as it receives more adds and spins across all markets, the new single is proving hugely popular with AC audiences in the U.S.

"It's humbling to receive this kind of recognition in the biggest and most competitive market in the world. And I'm honored to be considered in the company of many great established artists," says Frank D'Angelo.

'You're The One' is now gaining ground on AC radio's playlists across North America with stations like CBC Radio supporting Frank's music nationally in Canada. 'You're The One' is a song about love, forgiveness and making relationships work that has proved to resonate with the adult contemporary audience, and speaks to the times we're all living in. One of 14 tracks written and performed by Frank for his newest CD, 'The Winds of Time' (released through Blue Sapphire Music/DEP/Universal), 'You're The One' is available online on iTunes.

Recently, a mini concert tour promoting the new fourteen track CD kicked off with a concert to rave reviews and a packed house at the Markham Theatre. Backed by his impressive 15-piece band, Frank delivered an outstanding, heartfelt performance that had the entire audience on their feet dancing. One reviewer wrote, "With a confident and upbeat stage presence, Frank D'Angelo (takes) quality music and entertainment to a whole new level, providing an energy that is not only evident, but immediately felt." (Rosanna Bonura, Tandem)

"The audience was absolutely spectacular. You could tell everyone there were music fans not just my fans," says Frank. "R&B is melodic, the words are compelling and even if someone isn't passionate about music it captivates them. There are great vocal harmonies, great rhythm and great melody."

Canadian fans that missed the opportunity to see Frank D'Angelo perform live in Markham can check out Boston Manor in Burlington Ontario May 12 and Theatre Rialto in Montreal Quebec May 20 with more dates to follow. The concerts will be taped and segments will be aired on the last episode of the second season of The Being Frank Show on May 25. Ticket sales to all upcoming concerts have been selling rapidly, and indications are that he'll be playing to sold out crowds.
