TORONTO, Feb. 16, 2012 /CNW/ - Global continued to dominate primetime this week with the season premiere of Survivor: One World attracting 2.4 million viewers (2+, nat), the largest audience of the night. The highly-anticipated return of the unstoppable series triumphed over American Idol on CTV by 21% (2+, nat) in the same timeslot. Loyal fans tuned in to the 24th season of the perennial favourite, which continues to reinvent itself with unexpected twists and turns.

Further testament to the unwavering support of its fans, Survivor: One World also won the key Adults 18-49 demo with 1.1 million viewers nationally and took the top spot in all four metered markets (2+, A18-49).
