McMillan named one of the Top 50 Best Small And Medium Employers in the country
OTTAWA, Feb. 9, 2012 /CNW/ - Queen's University School of Business and Profit Magazine have recognized McMillan as one of Canada's 50 Best Small and Medium Employers.
"I've always tried to create the very best work environment for my employees," said Gordon McMillan, president of the agency. "Because these rankings are determined by the results of employee opinion surveys, this honour is particularly special for us. It means that McMillan employees aren't just here to pay the bills; they're here because they love where they work and what they do."
McMillan recently asked friends and family of its employees what they think goes on at the agency. The result is the following video—which is being released to coincide with the announcement of this Top 50 recognition. You can view it now at mcmillanagency.com.
About the Award
Becoming a Best Small and Medium Employer is a very detailed and competitive process. It mirrors the renowned Best Employer in Canada initiative run by Hewitt Associates; however, it focuses on businesses with between 50 and 400 employees. In addition to employee opinion surveys, the evaluation process also includes the assessment of organization practices and perspectives from the leadership team. Study partners include Queen's University Centre for Business Venturing and Aon Hewitt, the global human resource consulting and outsourcing business of Aon Corporation. More information about the Best Small and Medium Employers in Canada is available at http://business.queensu.ca/qcbv/sme.
