Media Advisory - The Transportation Safety Board of Canada Releases Investigation Report into the December 2010 Helicopter Accident near Blue River B.C.
GATINEAU, QC, Dec. 15, 2011 /CNW/ - The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) today released its final investigation report (A10P0388) into the December, 2010, accident involving a Bell 407 helicopter, operated by VIH Helicopters near Blue River, B.C. The report is available on the TSB website at www.bst-tsb.gc.ca.
On 15 December, 2010, a Bell 407 helicopter engaged in a heliskiing operation, crashed with a pilot, skiing guide and five skiers aboard. The pilot and ski guide suffered back injuries but the five passengers were uninjured.
The TSB is an independent agency that investigates marine, pipeline, railway and aviation transportation occurrences. Its sole aim is the advancement of transportation safety. It is not the function of the Board to assign fault or determine civil or criminal liability.
