Canada's Leading Lingerie Retailer Enters Algerian Market
La Vie en Rose Expands Presence in Egypt
MONTREAL, Nov. 30, 2011 /CNW Telbec/ - La Vie en Rose Inc. strategically entered the Algerian market by opening an international boutique in early fall 2011 at the Bab Ezzouar Shopping Centre in Algiers, the Maghreb's largest commercial and leisure centre. Sales from the opening far exceeded the company's initial expectations. Plans for a second store opening in spring 2012 are under way.
"Through their travels, Algerian women were already familiar with and loyal to the La Vie en Rose brand before we opened our boutique," says François Roberge, President and CEO of La Vie en Rose. "We sold out of certain styles within the first few weeks of opening!"
Canada's premier lingerie retailer also plans on opening their 7th store in Egypt, at the Sun City Mall in Cairo at the beginning of January 2012. "Our formula has been working fantastically in Egypt; therefore, it only made sense for us to expand into that existing market," adds François Roberge.
La Vie en Rose has over 50 international boutiques in 8 countries. Algeria joins Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Egypt, Kuwait and Kazakhstan on the company's growing list of openings outside of Canada.
