CAPT and rxBriefCase partner to provide free accredited CE to pharmacy technicians across Canada
TORONTO, Nov. 29, 2011 /CNW/ - rxBriefCase Inc. and the Canadian Association of Pharmacy Technicians (CAPT) are pleased to announce a new partnership designed to provide pharmacy technicians across Canada with access to free accredited continuing health education.
"The Canadian Association of Pharmacy Technicians has been working diligently to offer our membership the tools to help them evolve within the changing landscape of pharmacy in Canada," says Mary Bozoian, President of CAPT. "We are proud and excited to announce this partnership with rxBriefCase that will provide access to continuing education that is convenient and available to all pharmacy technicians and pharmacy support staff. The continuing education lessons that will be provided will assist in maintaining Pharmacy Technician learning portfolios."
As the role continues to evolve and the deliverance of care expands, pharmacy technicians will increasingly need access to innovative and technician-specific Continuing Education (CE). Already in British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario, technicians' roles have evolved to support the ever-growing pharmacist portfolio.
Free, accredited continuing education (CE) is the foundation of rxBriefCase, an online website for Canadian Pharmacists. "It only makes sense that as the profession of both pharmacists and technicians evolve, that rxBriefCase rises to the occasion," says Danny Weill, Vice-President of rxBriefCase. "Learning will be a key component during the transition period and rxBriefCase will be there to provide the quality CE pharmacy team members have come to know and trust."
