Clay Horner joins CI Financial Board of Directors

TORONTO, Nov. 2, 2011 /CNW/ - CI Financial Corp. ("CI") is pleased to announce the appointment of Clay Horner, an internationally recognized leading legal advisor for mergers and acquisitions, to its Board of Directors.

Mr. Horner, Partner and Chair of Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP, specializes in corporate finance, securities and mergers and acquisitions, including cross-border transactions.

He is a highly respected lawyer who has been named by the 2011 International Who's Who Legal as one of the Top 10 most highly regarded M&A individuals in the world, making him the only Canadian on the list. He is also ranked by the 2011 Chambers Global guide to the world's leading lawyers as being in the top tier for corporate and M&A practitioners. He holds law degrees from Harvard University and the University of Toronto.
