Fuller Landau supports Montreal landmark through student business initiative

MONTREAL, Oct. 24, 2011 /CNW Telbec/ - For some students, school was the last thing on their minds this summer. Not the case for a group of four MBA graduates from HEC Montréal Business School who, with the support of Fuller Landau Montréal, provided counsel for Théâtre du Rideau Vert.

For the last semester of their MBA program, the team of students was given the task of choosing an organization and acting as consultants, giving them the opportunity to put into practice the skills acquired during their studies. Team Fuller Landau, which consisted of Le Tri Nguyen, Geneviève Goupil, Melis Buyuksoy and Catherine Coulombe, had chosen the Montreal landmark theatre with the goal of providing the non-profit with qualified consulting services and recommendations.

"Our company has always been driven by a passion to support young, dynamic talent and this initiative provided us with another great opportunity to do so," said Michael Newton, Managing Partner of Fuller Landau Montréal. "Le, Geneviève, Melis and Catherine really got into this project and we were inspired by their dedication and hard work. We were pleased to contribute to their academic and professional growth."

Having spent the summer months visiting with management, observing theatre operations and sitting in on board meetings, the MBA students recently submitted their recommendations and formal plan, which were well received by the Théâtre du Rideau Vert and will be incorporated into their operations in the coming months.

"We are thrilled to have been able to partner with Fuller Landau and HEC Montréal on such a great initiative," said Céline Marcotte, General Manager of Théâtre du Rideau Vert. "The recommendations we received from this talented group of students this summer will help us define our future strategies."

The Théâtre du Rideau Vert was founded in 1948. It produces and presents classical and contemporary plays targeting a large audience. The theatre sees approximately 60,000 spectators visit each year, about 4,000 of which are subscribers.

Fuller Landau has supported the supervised business consultation project at HEC Montreal Business School since 2009. In addition, the company also sponsors other post-secondary initiatives and awards in Montreal.
