Two Canadian Digital Leaders Join Sonic Boom Creative Media

New investment and leadership to enhance state-of-the-art digital offering

TORONTO, Oct. 4, 2011 /CNW Telbec/ - NATIONAL  Public Relations, Canada's largest public relations firm, has entered into a partnership with Sylvain Perron and Richard Zeidel, two of Canada's most highly experienced and renowned digital business leaders, to accelerate the expansion and growth of Sonic Boom Creative Media.

Sonic Boom, NATIONAL's digital arm, provides creative, strategic and technical digital services to clients. Based in Montreal, but spending significant time in Toronto and other markets, Sylvain and Richard will lead the Firm's effort to become the leading player in major Canadian markets and internationally.

As equity partners, Sylvain and Richard will lead Sonic Boom's transformation to a full-service digital firm. Specifically, the firm will offer research and insights, social business architecture, strategy, design and development of digital assets, content and storytelling, community engagement and influencer outreach.

Both Sylvain and Richard have years of highly relevant experience growing leading-edge digital companies and consulting firms in Canada. Both have international experience and have worked with top global clients in developing and designing sophisticated digital strategies. Sylvain was most recently Managing Director, Digital, at the national level for the Canadian subsidiary of a large US-based communications firm. Richard, former Vice-President of Strategic Alliances at Tungle.Me, which was acquired by RIM, has worked on several digital start-ups as well as serving as a key digital strategist and executive with a global advertising and communications agency. He will be Senior Vice-President.

Sylvain Perron and Richard Zeidel will be responsible for the strategic direction and financial performance of Sonic Boom. Alex Pejcic, Vice-President, will drive client innovation. Norm Mayot will continue to apply his creative skills as Vice-President, Creative Director.
