Media Advisory & Photo Opportunity - YVR Community Welcomes Home Jaeger Mah

VANCOUVER, Aug. 17, 2011 /CNW/ -

What:	Jaeger Mah will be officially welcomed to YVR for 80 days and nights as he begins his assignment as the airport's live-in storyteller. Arriving on a Learjet 45 XR provided by London Air Services, Mah will get a bird's-eye view of his new Sea Island home before he is welcomed to YVR by Vancouver Airport Authority President and CEO, Larry Berg.
	Media are invited to capture Mah's arrival on the tarmac and follow him as he walks to an in-terminal living room set up. There, he will meet with the airport community, public and media.
	Mah is the winner of the Live@YVR contest. Armed with a camera and editing equipment, he will uncover stories and share his experiences of living at an airport full time - all without leaving its Sea Island home - on www.liveatyvr.ca, Facebook and Twitter.

	9:15 a.m.	Registration at The Spirit of Haida Gwaii sculpture, International Terminal Building, Departures Level 3
	9:30 a.m.	Media bus departs and is escorted airside to the aircraft parking area
	10:00 a.m.	Jaeger Mah's flight arrival and official welcome
	10:20 a.m.	Media bus returns to International Terminal Building
	10:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.	Public and media meet and greet Jaeger Mah
	Note: Members of the media who do not go airside can view Jaeger Mah's arrival and welcome from the Public Observation Area on Level 4 of the Domestic Terminal.

Please park in the Economy Lot; parking passes will be provided upon registration.
