MEDIA ADVISORY - GEORGE BROWN COLLEGE FOOD & BEVERAGE STUDENTS TO COMPETE FOR TRIP FOR TWO TO AUSTRALIA
TORONTO, June 29, 2011 /CNW/ - While many students are enjoying their summer holidays, 15 students from George Brown College's School of Food and Beverage Management will be competing for a chance to win an all expenses paid trip for two to Australia. The competition, led by School of Hospitality Management faculty and Corby Distilleries, an educational partner of George Brown College, will have the college's finest hospitality students competing in the following categories: blindfolded taste-test, the proper opening of a sparkling bottle of wine, a sparkling wine taste test and a cocktail 'black box' face-off featuring mystery ingredients. The winner, as part of the package, will spend one week in Australia with a private tour and tasting at Jacobs Creek Winery, a subsidiary of Corby Distilleries. The cost of the trip is estimated at $8,000.
