New business hours for Calgary Passport Canada offices

GATINEAU, QC, Jan. 2 /CNW/ - Effective January 4, 2011, the business hours of the two Passport Canada offices in Calgary, Alberta, will be changed as follows:

Calgary
    Harry Hays Building
    220 4th Avenue South East, Suite 150
    Mon-Fri: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

    Calgary (South)
    14331 Macleod Trail SW
    Mon-Fri: 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
    Language of service: English

Urgent service is not available at the Calgary (South) office. Clients requesting express or pick-up service are encouraged to apply at the Calgary office located in the Harry Hays Building for easier processing. Clients requesting express or pick-up service from the Calgary (South) location must pick up their passport at the Harry Hays Building location. For regular service, passports will be delivered by mail.

Canadian travellers are reminded to initiate the passport application process as soon as they intend to travel to ensure that the proper travel documentation is obtained in time for a trip abroad.

The Canadian passport is the only reliable and universally accepted travel and identification document available to Canadians for the purpose of international travel.
