Blue Jays claim Cody Haerther

    TORONTO, Nov. 18 /CNW/ - The TORONTO BLUE JAYS have claimed outfielder
CODY HAERTHER from the St. Louis Cardinals.
    HAERTHER, 24, spent the majority of the 2007 season at Springfield (AA)
of the Texas League. The 6-1, 205 lb. left-handed hitter from Valencia,
California batted .289 with five home runs and 28 RBI in 37 games.
    The Blue Jays now have a total of 39 players on the 40-man roster.
