Travel Advisory - VIA's Services Between Sudbury and White River Affected By Freight Derailment

TORONTO, Sept. 10 /CNW Telbec/ - VIA Rail Canada wishes to advise travellers that due to a one-car CP freight derailment near Franz (Ontario) earlier today, service between Sudbury and White River has been cancelled for today and tomorrow.

No alternate transportation has been arranged.

Line clearance is anticipated within the next 48-hours. VIA service is expected to resume on Sunday, September 12, 2010

VIA train 186, operates between White River and Sudbury every Sunday, Wednesday and Friday.

VIA train 185, operates between Sudbury and White River every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
